The TCAX Hazardous Location Teck Cable Fitting meets the world demands of the harshest working environments, such as refineries, petrochemical plants, dry cleaning plants, aircraft hangars and fuel servicing areas. Explosive gases and vapors may accumulate within an enclosure and should an explosion occur within this enclosure, it is essential that it be contained. The combination of the TCAXTM fitting with the proper explosion-proof enclosure will withstand and confine a possible explosion. Should an explosion occur, the TCAXTM fitting's very close tolerances, tapered threads and long, tight flame path, will reduce the flow and cool down the hot flaming gases, thus preventing the spread of the explosion to other enclosures or into the external atmosphere.
